Dragontree

Hello fellow book clubers! Yesterday, I was chatting to Christie and we came up with the idea of creating a blog for our book club. As you can imagine deciding on a name would be a difficult task and putting it up for voting seemed even more daunting! Hope you do not mind with the choice! The inspiration came from Christie's dragon tree that she keeps in the office. We can see it as a poetic influence for our book club. Anyway, I have volunteered myself (son :)!!) for creating this blog and keep it running for us. I will post the previous books we have read but we can all post comments on them, give an overview, general ratings, whatever we feal like writing!
Welcome to the 'DRAGONTREE'!!

Random londoner: I'm in a book club
Me: A book club?
Random londoner: Yes, you know, we read books and then get together to chat about them.
Me: Oh that....Book clubs are so last year daaahling. Only the untrendy spods do book clubs like that. Very Richard and Judy, so very last year...
Random londoner: What???
Me: Yes, dahling, haven't you heard on the urban trendy streets yet? The latest is the book club blog. Like this people can add posts even if they are in different countries. This means that when I am reading a novel in a villa in the south of Spain -being such a globetrotter-, I can just quickly reach for my laptop and share my opinions with my super fashionable Lurrrrrrvvvveeeely friends. And the word out on the Shoreditch streets is that Dragontree has got the most trendy urban fashionable and utttttttterly good looking intelectuals together for a fabulous book club.

Hurrah for the dragontree and here is to a long lived dragon!

I write this sunning in Tuvalu.....

Have we considered a movie for one of our book clubs? We could go and endure an educating lament on the plight of orphaned swedish housewives of truck drivers (a la bergmann) then wrestle with the metaphysical implications over strong black java???
